When a new 100 capacity hall was being added to this 19th Century Grade II listed church, it was vital that the structure’s appearance was in keeping with its surroundings.
M.A. McFarlane built a complete exterior skin for the extension, blending it seamlessly with the historic church and its rural setting.
The appearance of the church was matched by constructing the external envelope in knapped flint, with stone plinths and surrounds for the windows, all under a plain tile roof.
The result is a practical and attractive structure that is sympathetic to its neighbouring buildings and picturesque location.
